Downsizing in Mill Valley

by | Apr 5, 2016 | Latest Post

Karen S., one of our new residential moving clients recently downsized from her 4-bedroom Mill Valley home to a smaller home near by. I had the pleasure of sitting down with her to learn more about her move to a smaller home and what happened before, during, and after.

How did you hear about Good Green Moving?
“It was a word-of-mouth referral from my friend Michelle who had used you before for her move. She said you were great and that your staff were the kind of people you would want to have in your house.”

Did you look at other moving companies?
“The word-of-mouth recommendation was all that I needed, and I liked the idea that you’re a green moving company and that you’re doing something good for the environment.”

In a word, can you describe what happened during your move?

Thank you. Was there something in particular, that stood out that made the move fabulous?
“We were moving down the hill… downsizing. You were very helpful, supportive, understanding, and compassionate. You spent a lot of time with me on what it would cost to move my home, but the actual cost came in under his estimate.”

Can you tell our readers about the move itself?
“The team from Good Green Moving packed my whole house in just one day, which was about six to eight hours. They showed up on time. They came with plenty of supplies. Lots of valuables were packed on that one day, and all of it was moved on the second day. They were a pleasure to have around. Very trustworthy. Honest. Respectful.”

Would you recommend Good Green Moving to a friend who is moving in Marin County?
“Yes, They (the Good Green Moving movers) were just fantastic. They were a joy to have in my house: warm, friendly, inviting, thoughtful, caring, and compassionate. Since then, I’ve been preparing my former home for sale and now it’s sold in only four days.”

Any final words of advice for someone moving locally?
“I’d highly recommend that anyone use Good Green Moving. I would use them again if I should leave my new home in Mill Valley, but not so fast… I just moved! In fact, I’m still unpacking boxes after getting my former house sold.”

As told to Jonathan Cook, owner of Good Green Moving. Karen is a Mill Valley resident who recently hired Good Green Moving to move her from her 4-bedroom Mill Valley home to a 3-bedroom home near by in Marin County.
